"Hecking Old Internet"

I want to start by saying I have very little experience with what most call the "Old Internet" nor do I have interest in ever "reliving" it and to be honest I don't think anyone even knows what they mean by "Old Internet". The dates fluctuare between sometime in the late 90s\Early pre-911 2000s and the late 2000s/early 2010s.

this tells me that the hecking "Old Internet" is nothing but a catchall term for nostalgia brain retards whom are either too young or too old to realize that things have changed since then and are no longer the way they used to be and never will be that way again, I understand longing for the old days and simpler times but most people preaching the gospel of the hecking "Old Internet" (Lets be honest with ourselves for once) were born between 2000-2009 not exactly old by any means, the other half of this are washed out 30 going on 45 year olds whom desperately want to deny the fact they're almost at the age (that back in the day) would have been considered middle-aged going on senior citizens, the "Middle-aged" internet users are a problem in and of themselves that I will write more in-depth about in a future post.

Why does the "Old Internet" even matter in the first place whats old or once was old has become new again via remakes, remasters and rereleases making it accessible to younger and younger generations, Plus these same young generations are constantly bombarded with the same tired "Old Internet" culture (>Greentexts, older memes, etc) with that being said the internet becoming main stream has completely killed any sort of originality, niche subculture and underground art movements that did or would have existed past 2016 (this being a turning point in culture is also something I will write more in-depth in the future).

Websites like Twitter and Reddit 100% killed small communities with the accessibiltiy of the apps and "appeal to normies" The expunging of Internet exclusive slang terms and the use of such in the IRL and overly clean up and sanitized GUI.

Its been said 1000x since the creation of both websites by detreactors such as myself and other but its objectively true that such websites have trivialized information sharing turning what would have been civil discussions about niche and underground topics into shit throwing contest to see whom can "ratio" the other into no longer replying and taking that as a "epic win" Plus this same trivialization has watered down genuine greenroots (fibreoptic cable) movements into made up and borderline undefendable "Internet Ideologies" and overactive "Social Movements" the mass acceptance of the LGBTQAI+ communities and their own insider subcultture is evidence of this

In conclusion, This is a problem.
